Sun Ridge Systems’ First Police Department - Rocklin Police Department
In February 2005 the Rocklin (California) Police Department reached a remarkable milestone --- 20 years using RIMS. In the computer world where everything continually becomes obsolete within three years, staying with a single software product for 20 years is amazing. But, as Rocklin has grown from a small town, population 7,000, of 1985 to a city of more than 50,000 today, so too has RIMS grown from an application that initially was just a records management system to the suite of 18 products that make up the RIMS product family today.
In a reaffirmation of their commitment to RIMS, in April 2005 Rocklin PD signed a contract with Sun Ridge Systems to add all our latest software products: in station and in car mapping with GPS vehicle location, bar coding, Pocket RIMS (for handheld devices), and Fire/EMS paging software. Ironically, beginning their 21st year, it was Rocklin’s largest contract yet with Sun Ridge Systems.
